Back for more UPDATES UPDATES UPDATES for the past 2 days and today.MONDAY (21st July 2008)After school went to Bugis with MEI TING to search for grey jeans for this coming friday's wedding dinner. Well i saw this pair of grey jeans which i really wanted to get, but it's retailing for 59.90 bucks at this not-so-well-known shop in Bugis and so she told me not to buy it. So we went to other places to search for it.Went to Bugis Street/Village to find for THE RIGHT ONE as well as peeling my eyes out for vintage-washed tees. Found the latter, but was rather 'off-fitting' for me as they are all in free size. Found grey jeans too but it weren't the ones that i have in mind. Price isn't what i've expected as well. Oh well...Met up with LARRY at this make-shift stall beside Fu Lou Shou and decided to head to this famous beancurd stall known as "Rocher's Original Beancurd". I think it's called that. It's near Douby Ghaut as well, a good 10-15 mins walk and you should reach there. Also judging from Bugis Junction, 20-30 mins of walk and you should be able to get there. HOWEVER we didn't take 20-30 mins, but almost double of that time due to misleading directions from them and also the blind leading the blind situation (RIGHT MEI TING?). Carrying that heavy haversack of mine, my shoulders were getting to get sore. But the beancurd paid it off. The beancurd was REALLY smooth. So, not only Geylang's famous for their beancurd.TUESDAY (22nd July 2008)PRESIDENT MR NATHAN came to visit our school. So we had a chat over kopi and some loti. Haha, as if you'd believe right? After lesson, i rushed to Sports Complex to prepare for his arrival. Actually the volunteers(including me & the kayaking members) were supposed to climb the rockwalls but i think they have enough people at the rockwall area so we went to the outside of the tennis courts area to await for his arrival. We were given some small 'instrument' that could give out sound of a cruise horn! Amazing but true. Clappers were given as well. Finally he came, not walking but on a club car. Of course with officers and RP staff too. After which, we went to the entrance and wait for his arrival AGAIN. Now, that we waited for quite long. Photographs taken, blah blah blah and off he went in the club car again.Everything ended so i met up with LARRY, MEI TING and her friend KHATY for some badminton and volleyball. It was enjoyable and fun. Left school at around 8+pm and my contact lens is making me even more sleepy.WEDNESDAY (23rd July 2008)As usual my gym routine. Decided to go to Plaza Singapura and try to find the grey jeans that i have in mind. Saw one at FOX but it was size 32, which means it's LARGE for me. Another wasted trip, so instead of taking 65 back from there i was crazy enough to stop by Orchard station and take bus 5 from outside Pacific Plaza. Before 5-ed back, went to Wheelock Mall to have a leak and i saw a NEW MOOKS shop on the 2nd level! COOL! And i saw DICK LEE too, when i was walking up the escalator from Orchard Station. He seems to have put on weight and how come Dick Lee travels on public transportation? Thought he has a car? Hmm, perhaps he's trying to be environmentally friendly or he really doesn't have a car.My bus came and it was PACKED! Resulting in me standing all the way from Orchard to Eunos/Ubi area. Got 65(double-decker) don't want to take, keh kiang take 5(single-decker) back home. But never mind, an alternative way of training for my legs and 'endurance' as well. Haha.Alright! That's all folks!Labels: beancurd, dick lee, mooks, president nathan

Just a random entry...I don't know why symbols, toys, names, and etc that has any reference to PIG somehow or rather is making a sensation for teenage(or probably younger) girls and shockingly for some guys as well. Few days back while i was searching for some pictures in Corbis, then i saw these 2 pictures at the homepage. As a matter of fact, i can't deny that the first picture is rather... cute. While the 2nd one is quite interesting, but never will i get that and of course keep a pig as a pet (which is impossible) which eventually will make me frustrated and fedup when it snorks and not forgetting that i'm quite a finicky person.Speaking of which, nowadays i seem to dislike pork for its EXTREMELY FATTY and digusting reasons (like Kway Chap, no offence to those who take that as a delicacy). Yes YVONNE(a pure chinese girl), maybe i'm joining you to be halal soon. Haha.
BUT Xiew Mai, dumplings and Xiao Long Bao are still my favourite DIM SUMS, i think their fillings are pork. Not sure...
OK! Time to get back to my project! Labels: pig

Terribly sorry guys for the late updates. Have been quite busy (and kinda lazy) to update so yeah...WEDNESDAY (16th July 2008)I took along my PASSPORT, and left home...If you were thinking that i ran away from home or whatever then you've been fooled. Haha. I just went to JB, Malaysia with my classmates only la. ME, BENJAMIN, MEITING, PATRICIA with her AUNT and her friend took bus to the customs and walked to City Square. Dad gave me 300+RM cause he still got some remaining left. But i didn't buy much, cause like what i said in my earlier post that their fashion sense is really not what i'm looking into. So in the end i've gotten myself a haversack (for 117RM), or rather a backpack, and some food for the family. No clothes bought, miracle huh. But MEI TING had been pretty 'generous' towards buying of clothings and more clothings and lots of food(that she claimed to buy for the family, hmmm). Just from F.O.S store itself, she spent up to 118RM. HELLO! SINGAPORE ALSO GOT F.O.S! But maybe Malaysia's F.O.S has gotten what Singapore's doesn't have. She also gotten a yellow hoodie which we gave thumbs up! With BENJAMIN's bargaining skills, they've gotten their clothings at a much lower price. We reached Malaysia at around 11am and left there at around 3pm, so when we reached Singapore it was around 3++pm. So i went to XIU ZHEN's house to do PP (project) and i only managed to kinda finish the content page and introduction at the end of the day. It isn't as easy as i thought.*BURP! (At a recommended vegetarian place by Benjamin) Laksa I think this is Dumpling Noodle. Hardworking granny. Looking out for customers while cutting the veggies. RANDOM NOTE: There she walks... and she fell AGAIN! Yes, it's MISS USA. TWICE IN A ROW! MISS USA fell at 2007 and now 2008, same competition, same segment. Was watching Miss Universe 2008 some days back and during the Evening Gown segment, Miss USA was the only contestant who fell down. Miss Venuzuela answered the Question & Answer segment really well. In the case of Miss USA falling down on purpose or not it's up to you to decide, i have no comments. This is the video of Miss USA 2007 who fell during the evening gown segment, and one of the comments really made me literally LOL! MEI TING and I were watching the video and upon seeing the comment we rewind the video and watched again. We laughed uncontrollably, to the extent that our faci and the class were looking at us. HAHA! FRIDAY (18th July 2008)After school went to Bugis Street with XIU ZHEN to get her stuff, as well as have dinner with her sister and her friends. Met them at Bugis Street also and we shopped for a little while. After which, we walked towards Sim Lim Square direction and i finally saw tees that i wanna buy but don't have the designs that i liked. Oh well, save my 12.90bucks/piece too! Walked further down and saw this amazing magic toy demonstrated by this china guy, with his china counterparts at the make-shift stall as well. I was simply astonished by how the magic toy responded to its 'master'. When that guy asked the magic toy to dance faster then slower, bow to the audience, play dead, sleep, and etc, and all these actions the magic toy REALLY DID THEM when it was being commanded just like that! How unbelievable was that?! Though it's selling at 5bucks per toy, i still didn't get it cause it would be a waste of money as after a few moments or days of amazement, you would "ohh hmm, you can do that, wow... ohh ok..." to the toy. And it comes with a manual on how to 'teach' the magic toy to do all those tricks too. -_-"Dinner at Bugis's food court was next and they went to took neoprints after that. I didn't join them cause i didn't want to and XIU ZHEN didn't as well cause she was wearing the same clothing as the neoprint in her wallet. Haha. So we went to have a walk, bought a present for EUGENE too. I realised that the haversack i bought from JB was kinda big for school use so i intend to use it when i backpack or use it as a luggage when i'm holiday-ing overseas. So i'm now searching for the right haversack, again...SATURDAY (19th July 2008)Didn't go to kayaking training cause i was too damn tired, though how much i promise myself to go for training. Sighh, i'm sucha BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! So as usual, i went to gym in the noon and nothing really extra-ordinary came up. Weekend gym is still as packed as ever. After gyming, went food shopping at Raffles Place Mall's Market Place. Not really of a shopping la, cause i just got myself cherry tomatoes. Squeezed in the train bound for home. All of a sudden, i feel like going out every moment that i can just to observe people. Yes, i have a habit of doing that. And No, i'm not a freak that does that. Discreet observing anot, depends on the situation. You can't possibly ask me to open my eyes big big and stare at the person right in the face right? I so wanna take up ANTHROPOLOGICAL STUDIES(1) as my Freely Chosen Module but the test dates clashes with my other modules' test dates (as computed by the system). ARGH!!!(1) an·thro·pol·o·gy [an-thruh-pol-uh-jee] –noun 1. the science that deals with the origins, physical and cultural development, biological characteristics, and social customs and beliefs of humankind. 2. the study of human beings' similarity to and divergence from other animals. 3. the science of humans and their works. 4. Also called philosophical anthropology. the study of the nature and essence of humankind.I'm gonna be quite packed for next week.Alright, that's all folks! Labels: late updates

Just a quick update or two...Ended class at around 3.35pm today, i was feeling bored so i asked MEI TING to accompany me to have a walk. PATRICIA tagged along as well as she was leaving. We went to TRCC (The Republic Cultural Centre) to take a peek of the hotel-look-alike toilets in the building. And god, it totally blew me away. It really has hotel toilet standards, well at least it looks better than MOST toilets. When PATRICIA was away to do her 'big business', she 'shoo-ed' us away cause she doesn't like to have people around her when she does her business, as in peace is all she wants. So MEI TING and I decided to do some 'exercises' while waiting for her to be done. The Republic Cultural Centre The hotel-like toilet. TRCC lift. View from 3rd level. Our JUMPING shots.
WOOHOO! TOOT! (Patricia at the back ji siao-ing.) Auditioning for SUPERMAN's next movie. Just a random note...From the Discipline Master to all RP students. OH FOR GOODNESS SAKE! We're here to enjoy our freedom in poly and what the fart do you have to limit our liberty?!?!Come on la... All along i have been wearing SHORTS and FLIP FLOPS to school because they're comfortable. What's more they're SO MANY students in RP doing the same thing too! Are you going to catch us all? How INCREDIBLE is that. Though some of the rules seem reasonable, but some are totally bullshit...Do i care? I don't and i won't and i guess no one will too. I'll still continue as long as i pay school fees =)Alright! That's all folks!Labels: Jump, school rule

HEY DUDES AND BABES! I'M BACK FOR MORE UPDATES!I've finally remembered what happened on last WED.LAST WEDNESDAY (2th July 2008)As usual, i went for gym in the noon. Today GUAN, WEN MIN and me decided to gather to catch up with each other. KRISTEL was supposed to be there. I texted her, called her but she neither replied back nor called back. Well, god knows what happened...We met at EHub! at 6pm, which is just beside Downtown East at Pasir Ris, as it's a new mall and it was OUR MAIDEN trip there. SURPRISINGLY, i reached EHub! first, dilly-dely and then GUAN arrived after 15+mins. Shortly after, we went to explore EHub!
It was so pathetic that it seems that the NUM flip flop shop was the only shop that you can go in, browse and get something INEDIBLE. Cause the remaining outlets/shops are all either cafes or restaurants. 3rd Level was dedicated entirely to the kids where there's a HUGE 'playground' for them. There's a cinema and Kbox there too. Bowling alley was at basement. The 'miniature' ferris wheel is useless too, am i'm wondering how long can it survive with the small crowd at the mall.Exploration done, WEN MIN came at around 7++pm and we went to have our dinner at Superdog. Food was rather average, WEN MIN linked Superdog's Beef Cheese Fries to Carl's Junior. I didn't and never will try Beef Cheese Fries cause to me it's super gross and super gooey and disgusting. Just dislike the whole melted cheese on it. I had a full dinner, but GUAN and WEN MIN still crave for more food. HUMONGOUS APPETITE! Proceeded to buy my 'high-end'(according to GUAN) grey Havaianas (my belated birthday present from GUAN) from the NUM flip flop shop at 2nd Level. WEN MIN was trying to be friendly with the NUM ambassador, when GUAN was being irritating enough by asking WEN MIN "ehh, you wanna get his number?" right in front of that NUM ambassador. Haha. It was so embarrassing la... Only to realise that WEN MIN and that NUM ambassador are from the same school, Nanyang Polytechnic, but different CCA though.Left EHub! They and reluctant-me decided to WALK back home. Came to a junction where we actually trial-and-errored whether we're on the right track anot, by looking at what bus services were available at the bus stops. WEN MIN finally couldn't take it anymore, and thus we boarded bus 21 at some part of Pasir Ris. As a matter of fact, I CAN STILL CONTINUE WALKING! HA! They alighted at Clearwater condominium and i continued my bus journey to my nest, home.SUNDAY (6th July 2008)The LUM family went for a trip to Malaysia. Weather was alright, but the heavy traffic/jam was TERRIBLE + HORRIBLE! Saw TONS of cigarettes littered on the highway entering to Singapore customs, and that's where the jam began. We left the house at 10pm, reached Malaysia at around 12+pm. 1 thing to say is that, i find that the fashion sense in Malaysia is ABSOLUTELY NON-COMPARABLE to Singapore's. Even the clothing they sell too, well at least not all of them. No offence though. Although their clothing is relatively cheap over there and there were some imitations. I saw this tee which has the exact design at ZARA, at Reject Shop (one of the shops in Malaysia) and it's retailing for 30+RM and in ZARA, it's selling for like S$36+. OUTRAGEOUS! I didn't get any clothings from there, but then i've gotten a HOODY! from Padini Concept Store, which is i think one of their homegrown stores. Let the pictures take you through the journey... it's more of a food journey though.A Hong Kong actor endorsed/ambassador-ed this restaurant, Wong Kok Char Chan Teng (LUNCH).
Milk Tea Honey Passion Fruit beverage (MINE) Chicken Chop (BROTHER's) YangZhou Fried Rice (DAD's) Fish Steak in White Wine sauce (MINE) Fish and Ginger Hor Fun (MUM's) Baked Barbeque Chicken Wings, with melted cheese at bottom. Don't know why my mum LOVES chicken wing so much. For just S$30+, you can get a sumptious meal! If you can't see the gross difference, the wall is there for you. Those were the days... Car journey to another mall. Malaysia's bus stop. You'll never see this in Singapore. JUSCO, one of the better & larger malls in Malaysia. Extracting coconut juice from coconuts. You don't see this kinda 'demostration' in Singapore's Carrefour, NTUC, Market Place, and etc... Bakery Small sized donuts Freshly out tarts. Portuguese tarts are my FAVOURITE! Our breakfast for next morning. Wanted to buy this tee from the shop "Everyone is beautiful", but then... At Secret Recipe (DINNER) Mushroom Chicken Chop (BROTHER's) Black Pepper Chicken Chop (MUM's) Prawn Macaroni (SHARED) Fish & Chips (DAD's) Chicken Cordon Bleu (MINE) Oreo Milkshake (MINE) JAM JAM JAM!!! We left back for Singapore at around 9++pm, with the jam we reached home at only around 12++am. URGH! MONDAY (7th July 2008)HAPPY BIRTHDAY EUGENE! You're officially 21 years old, which spells old too huh. Haha. Never mind it's alright, it's gonna be my turn soon! After school, XIU ZHEN & her brother, Eugene, and me went to celebrate his birthday at Cineleisure. Not really of a celebration though, but to watch movie and XIU ZHEN treated him dinner at Subway. Watched "Don't Mess With The Zohan", was a rather hilarious & more of a sexual humour movie but "Get Smart" movie was better to me.After movie it was already like 9.30pm then most of the shops were going to close soon. EUGENE decided to dine at Subway, so we followed as well. Since he's the king for that day... Haha. Or else i think we would, "don't eat here la, eat somewhere else can?". Haha. I didn't have my dinner cause i was actually quite full from the popcorn and drinks during movie time. You see, what kind of a stomach i have... Sighh...We walked to the opposite of Far East Plaza for bus 5 back home, with XIU ZHEN and her brother's accompany to the bus stop. Heard awesome music played at That CD Shop (Pacific Plaza) and went in to search for the music that they're playing. Private Beach Club 2. OHH MAN! I WANNA GET THAT! But it's retailing for 69.90 bucks (2 CDs). Sighh, cannot la cannot la... Super broke!Left with a heavy sigh and waited for the bus. Bus came, EUGENE and i baded goodbye to XIU ZHEN and her brother. To my astonishment, i saw my classmate onboard! FARIDAH with her boyfriend. They alighted the next stop and we took over their seat. Haha. Reached home after around 30+mins.CI HUI, JING XUAN, WEN JIE, WILSON, and me called in to XIU ZHEN's phone wanting to sing EUGENE a HAPPY BIRTHDAY song. Soon after, EUGENE called in. We sang the birthday song with the lowest tone ever. Only WEN JIE's tone was being heard, thanks to his low monotonous voice, and it covered the rest of our voices. I felt weird when singing cause, my mum was ironing clothing, brother using his laptop, dad sleeping, and there i was singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY song in the living room. So ma lu la... But anyway, it was still worth it. Unlike someone who said it was childish and didn't call in to sing with us. It's the sincerity that counts!TUESDAY (8th July 2008)School ended, CI HUI, JING XUAN, YU JING, XUN FU, WEN JIE, WILSON, ME, and of course the birthday boy EUGENE went to have steamboat for dinner at Tan Quee Lan street, which is at Bugis area. As usual, we had alot to talk. Laughters filled the air. It was really enjoyable. I treated EUGENE for the steamboat dinner for his birthday, lent money to YU JING to pay her share. So i handed out 60 bucks in total, including my share. Woah, broke again... Sighh...Went for a walk in Bugis Junction before we separate ways back home. So EUGENE and I accompanied YU JING to her bus stop which is right in front of LaSalle school. At a make-shift stall outside Fu Lo Shou mall, i saw extremely cheap tees selling at S$12.90/piece! I WANTED TO BUY THEM! But upon knowing that they were ONLY in M size, my heart sank. If they were available in S size, i bet that i would buy more than 2 tees! The M size looks big on me, sadly...Walked walked walked, said goodbye to YU JING, EUGENE and I went further up Tekka Mall to catch a bus. Boarded bus 23 and alighted 3 stops before home bus stop. Bus ride took an amazing 20+ mins only. We didn't want to walk back, though it's only a few stops away to our houses. So boarded either bus 59 or 5 and EUGENE shocked me when he alighted at the NTUC bus stop, which is not even home bus stop when there's 1 more bus stop to go. I followed blindly and alighted too. After which i asked him why he alighted at this bus stop. I think he blurred too. Haha.We still walked back home, nonetheless...WEDNESDAY (9th July 2008)GYMING as usual, felt not really in the mood but i still pushed myself. At Bedok MRT Station, i saw this male guy with long hair and thick makeup and she/he kinda 'cat-walked' when she/he was walking. I walked behind this person, eyes were upon that person whenever he/she walked past them. Unusual sight huh...Next up, i saw a movie character onboard the train, or i thought i saw. L from Death Note on our MRT? Judging from his build, pale face, hair, and the seems-like-only-piece-of-white-long-sleeve-tee that L has in the movie, the stranger totally resembles L from a distance. Haha.Alright! That's all folks!Labels: eugene's birthday, havaianas, Malaysia trip, steamboat, unusual sight
